Skimboarding on Sand Palm Beach, FL

Skimboarders practice jumping off of a makeshift ramp made of sand on the beach in Palm Beach, Florida.  When I arrived at the beach, it was extremely windy with clouds moving in three different directions. There were lots of people at the beach, but nobody was swimming. Then I noticed a sign posted by the lifeguards which read, "No Swimming- Extremely dangerous rip currents, Sharks! and Man-of-war jellyfish."  It was a deadly enough combination to make most people, myself included, not enter the water. Luckily, I found these frustrated beach-goers who were trying to make the most out of not being able to play in the water.  This photo was part of a Livability.com photo shoot in South Florida.
